La Residenza
The restaurant of the Hotel La residenza will be closed from 02/08/2008 to 31/08/2008.The La Residenza Hotel is an ecohotel: an oasis of tranquillity and wellbeing, sheltered from city chaos yet at the same time a short distance away from all major places of interest in Milan. The hotel lies in the "Affori" area in the North of Milan, at about 5 km far from the Duomo and from the Fair Center (Fieramilanocity), which are easily reachable by public transport. The La Residenza Hotel is also at a short distance (11 km ) from the New Exhibition Center of Rho-Pero thanks to the vicinity of the highway. The hotel is also near the Galeazzi Hospital, the Niguarda Hospital, the famous disco Alcatraz (reachable by car in just 5 minutes), the San Siro Stadium (7 km), the Bovisa Station (about 2 km) and the Bovisa Campus of the Polytechnic of Milan, as well as the Bicocca University (5,5 km). The underground station (Maciachini - yellow line) is at only 1 km far from the hotel, to which is connected by 3 bus lines (bus n41 - 52 - 70). That is an easy way to get to the Central Station of Milan and to the Garibaldi Station. The hotel and its multilingual staff pay particular attention to the environmental problems and to the bio-architecture: within the hotel, several solutions are adopted to reduce the impact of the facilities on the environment, such as the use of alternative energy sources, low voltage light bulbs, ecological paper and toiletries with a fully recyclable packaging. In every room there is a message to make the clients aware of this commitment and to invite them to a conscious use of what is put at their disposal. The Hotel La Residenza is part of the Ecoworldhotel group, which unites independent hotels with the goal of spreading the philosophy of eco-tourism and to designate part of the profits to the promotion of the initiative of safeguarding the environmental heritage. Of course, at the Hotel La Residenza, small pets are welcome. In a relaxing and familiar environment where every detail is chosen with the greatest care, the 60 rooms (single with French-size bed, twin and double with queen-size bed, triple and quadruple) are furnished with style and simplicity, in a fine mix between classic and modern style. They are all equipped with air conditioning, wi-fi connection, direct telephone line, tv, minibar, hair dryer and private bathroom with bathtub or shower. Rooms especially fitted and fully accessible for the disabled are available on the ground floor. Among the range of services available, there is the chance to have frequent access to the gym, the Internet Point, the wi-fi, the garage (on payment and it must be reserved in advance), the laundry service, the restaurant with Italian cuisine, the garden equipped with tables for aperitifs, the 24 hours open snack-bar, the elegant wine room, the sell of bus tickets, the booking of daily excursions in and out of Milan and the private transfer service for every destination. On request it's possible to organize parties and banquets.
