Cavalieri

Corfu, or Kerkyra, to give it its Greek name, lies in the northern Ionian Sea at the entrance to the Adriatic, off the west coast of Albania and the Greek mainland, being the northern-most of the seven Ionian Islands. The capital of the island is also named Corfu. This town is Venice and Naples, a touch of France and more than a dash of England, apart of course being Greek. In the heart of the bustling, lively town, seven and eight storied Venetian houses circle a vast green esplanade where on some Sundays cricket is played under the friendly shadow of an ornate Victorian bandstand. Parallel runs a long arcade; in fact, a second Rue de Rivoli, built by the French under Napoleon, grown nostalgic for Paris during their years on Corfu. It is in these idyllic surroundings that the Cavalieri Hotel is situated.Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with bright English Chintzes, traditional furniture, wall to wall carpets, remote control colour TV, individual air-conditiong and attractive prints on the walls. All bedrooms have modern bathrooms en-suite with every amenity, including hand showers, mini bar, hair dryers and even direct dial telephones in the bathrooms.***Roof Garden Restaurant - Cafeteria is open from June to end of September***
