Stonefield Castle

Stonefield Castle is a superb example of Scottish baronial architecture, built in 1837 and originally home to the Campbell family, now an elegant hotel with superb views over Loch Fyne. Set in 60 acres of woodland gardens containing exotic shrubs, the castle retains many original period furnishings, wood panelling, ornate ceilings and marble fireplaces. Dining at Stonefield Castle is always a memorable experience, with excellent food prepared from the freshest local ingredients. The large windows in the dining room make the most of the superb views across the fishing beds of Loch Fyne and on the menu - West Coast seafood and carefully-sourced Scottish meat specialities. Most traditional outdoor pursuits are available nearby - including riding, hillwalking, shooting, golf and tennis. Ferry trips to Arran, Gigha, Islay, Mull and Iona, together with the Mull of Kintyre, are all within reach.
