Clarion Hotel & Suites Selby

An 1880's Historical Landmark, the Clarion Hotel & Suites Selby is a Victorian Mansion that is one of downtown Toronto's most unique accommodations, providing hospitality to travellers since 1915. The hotel has was originally built as a private home for the Gooderham family in 1882 and in 1910 was transformed first into an exclusive girl's school Branson Hall and then in 1915, converted into a residential hotel, where Ernest Hemingway and his wife Hadley resided during the 1920's. The hotel is conveniently located close to Yorkville Shopping District and Restaurants and Sherbourne subway station across the street. Today the hotel features 82 completely renovated guestrooms that offer in-room coffee, cable TV, free local calls, data ports, iron & ironing board, hairdryers and have either one queen bed or two double beds that can accommodate up to quad occupancy based on sharing existing beds. Continental breakfast is included.
