Here, where the view of the Kaiser Mountain and the Fichtel mountain rambles towards the Thuringian Forest, lies Schöneck. This is the highest town in Vogtland, at 800 m above sea level. Schöneck is known to many as the Balcony of Vogtland, with panoramic views of over 2,000m² of green, hilly landscape. Through it's snow-assured location, Schöneck is also situated close to Klingenthal, a popular winter sport location. It is an ideal starting point to try out the well-known Vogtland/Erz Mountain cross country ski runs. The building lies on the outskirts of the town and is ideal at any time of year. Within around 500 m, guests will find a train station and further public transport. The centre of Schöneck is around 1 km away, Plauen is roughly 3 km away and Hof is about 4 km away from the hotel.
