Built in 1705AD the Sun Inn is a Grade II listed building. It is associated with the history of its local town Eastwood from the famous meetings in 1832 that saw the birth of the Midland Railway or with that of our locally renowned author D.H Lawrence it is included in his famous novel Sons and Lovers and many of the features that are mentioned are still in place today enhancing the culture of the Sun Inn and its location.The Sun Inn is situated in the heart of Eastwood with direct links to the M1- J26 and within walking distance of the amenities of our local town Eastwood. We are ideally situated as a base to travel to Matlock and the Derbyshire Dales with close links to Nottingham; including the Castle the Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem AD1179 the Bell Inn 1437AD our great Historic Pubs' with excellent links to Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak.Nottingham's nightlife is vibrant with excellent Theatres Concert Halls and our National Ice stadium; where you can dine out in its fantastic restaurants and bars this is a must visit city during your stay.
