The original grade 2 listed building was constructed as a Hunting Lodge in 1890 for the Earl Fitzwilliam and resides in a conservation area of outstanding natural beauty.The Barnsdale Spa which opened in June 2003offers the ultimate spa experience in hair and beauty treatments.The Osprey Restaurant has recieved an AA Rosette for its fine dining.The Brasserie is also availiable for a less formal dining experience.All bedrooms which are situated in three separate buildings have been tastefully and sympathetically redecorated over the last few years.There are extensive indoor and outdoor Leisure Facilities throughout the Resort.
