Art Series The Cullen is Melbourne's newest and most unique luxury boutique hotel. Named after and featuring the work of one of Australia's most renowned artists - Adam Cullen - Art Series The Cullen features 113 accommodation rooms and suites each containing prominent displays of Cullen's bright quirky and famously controversial artwork. From the architecture to the interior design each part of the hotel has been influenced by Cullen's artwork and original pieces are to be displayed in the hotel foyer. Located in the heart of Melbourne's entertainment and fashion precinct Art Series The Cullen is walking distance from shopping and the funky bars and restaurants of Greville and Chapel Streets. Art Series The Cullen is conveniently located just 5kms from the CBD and 29kms from Melbourne airport. Situated directly across from the celebrated Prahran markets on Commercial Road Prahran the hotel is only metres from Chapel Street - a haven for shopaholics and food lovers alike.Each of the Art Series The Cullen accommodation rooms and suites are elegantly appointed with designer furnishings fully equipped kitchenette facilities and are complimented with stylish décor and replica Adam Cullen artworks. Room styles will include options to suit any guest; Studio Suites' will comprise of either King or Twin bedding configurations plus a selection of one bedroom Cullen Suites' located on the top floor will offer additional space with which to enjoy. Select rooms will also feature private balconies with views across the surrounding area. At Art Series The Cullen there is a variety of dining and drinking options in which to indulge. The Terrace Bistro features Mediterranean inspired cuisine influenced by the flavours of Italy whilst authentic Chinese cuisine will be represented at HuTong Dumpling Bar. The Cullen hotel will be available for accommodation reservations from Friday 30th October 2009. Whilst the hotel will be fully operational for guest stays from late October the food and beverage outlets will not be open during this initial period. Tentative opening date for Terrace Bistro and Hutong Dumpling Bar will be from mid November. Should the restaurants not be open during your requested accommodation dates the hotels location on Commercial road is surrounded by a variety of food and beverage options.
